History and Philosophy
Hispania, escuela de español opened its doors in 2002, after which it steadily grew in number of students and popularity, now being the most popular school in Valencia. Although we grew fast, we never lost our homely and warm atmosphere. Our staff always has the academic needs of our students in mind, but will also help them to understand the Spanish culture and way of life. At Hispania, students will find a home where they can learn Spanish, learn about Spanish culture, enjoy student life and the cosmopolitan atmosphere of our school.
Our teachers, all of them degree holders, are the key to our success. Their enthusiasm and passion for teaching their native language combined with the latest teaching methods result in dynamic, interactive and fun classes.
The results obtained by our students at the yearly D.E.L.E exams, reflect the excellent quality of our teaching: more than 90% of our students pass the exam.
In the last years, we have been able to expand from 2 classrooms to 10 classrooms. We now also have a library, study room, two terraces and a cafeteria. Now, more than 600 students from all over the world learn Spanish at Hispania a year.

WHERE ARE WE LOCATED
Our school, a beautiful Spanish villa in the University area of town, is just a 5-minute bus ride away from the old town and Valencia’s main shopping street.
You will find Hispania next to the Avenida Blasco Ibáñez, the Rectorat of the University of Valencia and the Viveros Park. A great location to enjoy the University atmosphere! The city centre is only a short walk away, here you can enjoy the different terraces, historical monuments or go shopping. You can also visit the Riding School, where our students play tennis, go horseback riding or take a dive in the pool. You can also explore the 8 kilometre long Turia Park, which begins at the Bioparc Zoo and ends at the futuristic City of Arts and Sciences.
